SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 1 – Lequan Eley was
charged with selling crack in
The Bronx. He pleaded not
guilty on March 5, just before
the COVID pandemic (became
known).
On October
30 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Ronnie Abrams held a
change of plea proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
Judge
Abrams asked Eley where it
happened, for purposes of
venue.
Eley said, "In
the lobby of my building, at
1225 Sheridan." Judge Abrams
set sentencing for February
21. "The defendant shall
remain detained."
The case is US v.
Eley, 20-cr-171 (Abrams)
