SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 21 – There was a "release
of energy into an electric
vault" on the 23rd floor of
570 Lexington Avenue on May
20, 2019. Then Tower 570
Company LP sued Affiliated FM
Insurance Company and
Travelers.
On January
21, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Jesse M. Furman
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
At issue
were claims of privilege,
following the hiring of
litigation counsel.
The counter
argument was that so-called
litigation counsel could also
be performing other legal
work, so hire them should
create a blanket privilege.
The case is Tower
570 Company LP v. Affiliated
FM Insurance Company et al.,
20-cv-799 (Furman)
