SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 23 – Back on November 19,
2019 Jason Horsford appeared
in person on alleged
Violations of Supervised
Release before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lewis A. Kaplan.
Assistant US
Attorney Alexander Li
suggested that Judge Kaplan
sever Specification Four from
the rest.
Judge Kaplan
asked, "Wouldn't it just make
more sense to amend his
current conditions to do what
you want him to do and then
leave the whole case in
abeyance and see how it goes
for a while?" And
that is what happened.
Jump cut to June
23, and Horsford was before
Judge Kaplan again, this time
by phone.
And this time,
Specifications 1-3 and 5-8
were dropped in exchange to a
guilty plea to Specification
Four.
The case is US v.
Horsford, 09-cr-1052 (Kaplan).
