Exclusive, March 30 – Hosame
Dergasly was arrested after
offering to selling fake
passports from Guatamela,
Germany and Turkey to an
undercover Federal agent who
told Dergasly has wanted the
passports "to liquidate crypto
currency and withdraw cash
from financial
institutions."
On March 30, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
held a proceeding on releasing
Degasly, pending resolution of
an ICE immigration detainer.
Inner City Press covered it,
as the only media in the SDNY
Magistrates Court.
Dergasly,
who had primarily spoken in
Arabic, offered to sell the
passports for $3500 each.
Now, with the ICE
detained resolved, he's being
released on a bond with one
co-signer.
No District Judge
has yet been assigned; Inner
City Press will continue to
follow the case, which is US
v. Dergasly, 22-mj-2831 (Cave)
