SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 17 – Namel Norris is in a
wheelchair and was hindered
from accessing Lelabar at 422
Hudson Street in Manhattan. A
lawsuit
ensued.
On November 17, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge J.
Paul Oetken held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered it.
Judge
Oetken offered a magistrate
judge.
One party said
yes; the other said a mediator
is faster, because the SDNY
Magistrates are slow and
"overwhelmed."
Judge
Oetken then ordered mediation.
The case is
Norris v. NRK Cafe Inc. et al,
21-cv-3222 (Oetken)
