SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 17 – Stuart Dean Co.,
being sued by former CEO Bruce
Hallett, describes itself as
an "international provider of
renowned architectural
restoration services,
specializing in metal
refinishing; stone polishing,
cleaning and sealing; wood
refinishing; glass
restoration; innovative and
sustainable grouts and
flooring solutions; and
curtain wall and facade
restoration."
But whose
facade?
On August
17 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jed S. Rakoff held an
oral argument. Inner City
Press covered
it. Stuart
Dean has moved to dismiss
Courts Two through Nine of the
complaint.
While the
plaintiff's lawyer mentioned
amending the complaint, Judge
Rakoff reminding that the
court does not issue advisory
opinions, and there is no
application to amend before
him.
He asked
for a two page letter by
plaintiff by Friday, and
promised a "bottom line" order
by next Tuesday, with a full
decision to follow some time
after.
The case is
Hallett v. Stuart Dean Co.,
Inc et al., 20-cv-3881
(Rakoff)
