SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 6 – Richard Rosario sued
the City of New York after
serving 20 years in prison for
a crime he says he did not
commit - a Bronx murder
carried out while Rosario was
in Florida.
On December 6, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Lorna G. Schofield held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Rosario
says that the City withheld
exculpatory evidence from
Nicole Torres, that the
shooter knew the victim (whom
Rosario had never met).
Now the trial is
scheduled by January 4; Judge
Schofield has reserved on
deciding if Rosario could play
for the jury episodes from NBC
Dateline.
On
December 6, Judge Schofield
asks each side to provide CDs
of proposed evidence by hand
to her chambers by December 7.
It is
getting to end game.
The case is
Rosario v. City of New York,
et al., 18-cv-4023
(Schofield)
