SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 25 – Xiamin Zeng used to
work at the NYC Housing
Authority. Until on the job
she was called a "F*cking
Yellow Bitch." She
sued.
On July 23, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Alvin K. Hellerstein held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Zeng's new counsel Oliver
Koppell said he's made a
demand for $150,000. NYCHA's
counsel said her notes showed
that Judge Hellerstein had
previously said the case was
worth $35,000.
He replied that
he hadn't been as informed
then.
NYCHA's counsel said Zeng "has
domestic violence issues" and
that some filings should be
sealed. But the issue is
already part of the record.
The case is Zeng
v. New York City Housing
Authority, 18-cv-12008
