SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 24 – Uncle Luigi Poli has
been civilly sued for sexual
abusing two nieces and two
nephew from 1973 to 1981 in
their grandmother's houuse on
Hone Avenue in The
Bronx.
On May 24,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn
held a conference. Inner City
Press covered it.
The case
was brought under the NYS
Child Victims Act, then
removed to Federal court.
Judge Netburn
offered a hold a settlement
conference on either July 5 or
August 1, noting that she has
a civil trial in July than
might settle.
Discovery is
stayed; there is a status
letter due by June 3, with a
recommendation to ask for a
date before then.
