SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 27 – Malik DeJesus was
visited by Parole Officers on
February 20, 2020. They shook
a safe and heard what sounded
like a metal object. Through
two holes in the bottom of the
safe, they saw what appeared
to be a silver revolver. They
got a warrant.
Later at the precinct, when
his mother came in, DeJesus is
quoted as saying, "It's my
gun, it was in my room, who
else would it be?"
On September 8
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
As
expected, there may be motion
practice about the search,
with its convenient shaking
and holes. Judge Liman put it
over to October 15 at 3 pm.
The case is US v.
DeJesus, 20-cr-464
(Liman).
