SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 27 – Owen Watson
has been indicted for felon in
possession of a firearm, but
seeks to challenge the grand
jury proceedings which he says
due to Coronavirus concerns
were remote and not
representative of the
community.
On August
27 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Judge Rakoff held a
status conference, to see a
trial date. Inner City Press
covered it.
February 2021 is
already filling up with trials
for Judge Rakoff. February 1,
8 and 15 were rejected and
February 22 was selected, with
the grand jury motions to be
resolved before then.
The case is US v.
Watson, 20-cr-346 (Rakoff)
