SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 6 – Gerard Vasquez was
charged with mail fraud in
connection with phones and
personally identifying
information.
On October 6 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Analisa Torres held a
sentencing proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
The
complaint says Vasquez
"frequently obtained new
phones or upgrade phone by
paying only a small fee in the
store while charging the vast
majority of the purchase price
to the existing customers'
accounts.
As
docketed, Judge Torres
sentenced Vasquez to 24 months
in prison and restitution to
be determined by December 29.
The case is US v.
Vasquez et al., 19-cr-391
(Torres)
