SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 19 – John Wilson sued the
FBI under FOIA for records
about his work as a mining
analysis for UBS Warburg,
primarily his report on the
killing of indigenous
protesters of Freeport
McMoran's Grasberg mine in
Indonesia.
On October 14,
2022, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Magistrate Judge Stuart
D. Aaron held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it. The dispute
was on attorney's fees, and if
Wilson had prevailed.
After listening,
Judge Aaron recommended that
attorney's fees NOT be awarded
- but if they are, it be for
$7,345 in fees and $681.68 in
costs.
The case is
Wilson v. Federal Bureau of
Investigation, 20-cv-10324
(Kaplan / Aaron)
