SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 19 –The Carpenters' Union
pension fund sued Charles
Newman as president of
Showtime on the Piers LCC for
not paying into their
fund.
On November
19, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Valerie E. Caproni
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered
it.
Newman appeared,
but without a lawyer. Showtime
on the Piers LCC cannot
proceeding pro se.
Newman was given
one last chance to get a
lawyer, or face a default
judgment.
The case is
Trustees of the New York City
District Council of Carpenters
Pension Fund, Welfare Fund,
Annuity Fund, and
Apprenticeship, Journeyman
Retraining, Educational and
Industry Fund et al v.
Showtime on the Piers, LLC et
