SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 2 – Maria Mendez sued the
City of New York after, she
says, on- and off-duty police
officers forced her to "ingest
copious amounts of opioids,
MDMA and alcohol, then rape
and sodomize
her.
On June 1, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
held a conference. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge Cave
set a schedule to try to get
to the bottom of the case
and/or resolve it. She will
speak with the plaintiff on
June 29 at 10 am, then with
defendants later that day at 4
pm.
The case is
Mendez v. The City of New York
et al., 21-cv-5294 (Koeltl /
Cave)
