SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 25 – Jabbar Richardson
was sitting in his 2010 Chevy
Malibu on front of 2216 8th
Avenue in Upper Manhattan on
October 27, 2019, waiting for
AAA, when NYPD officers
arrested him.
He
sued.
On July 23, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Alvin K. Hellerstein held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Hellerstein asked why the case
was still against John Does.
The City had identified five
of the officers. Judge
Hellerstein said to amend the
complaint with names.
A next conference
was set for September 17.
The case is
Richardson v. City of New York
et al., 21-cv-622
(Hellerstein)
