SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 14 – Mady Horning was an
Associate Professor of
Epidemiology at Columbia
University's Mailman School of
Public Health, working on
brain disorders.
She had a
personal relationship with
full Professor Walter Ian
Lipkin, MD which ended in 2011
and has sued.
On April
14, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Edgardo Ramos held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Horning
quotes Lipkin telling her
about an affair with a major
donor, who broke up with him
by email after (he says)
"great s*x." Her complaint
recounts telling Columbia's
H.R. department, and being
"gaslighted."
The defendants
have until May 14 to file a
motion for summary judgment.
The case is
Hornig v. Trustees of Columbia
University, et al., 17-cv-3602
(Ramos)
