SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 23 – Abdul Basit Moosani
and Muhammad Amir Saleem, also
knowns as "Amir Australia,"
are accused of laundering
money in the United Arab
Emirates.
On November 23
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Valerie E. Caproni held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Back in
June, Moosani retained Jeffrey
Lichtman and Jeffrey Einhorn.
In Junly, Saleem dropped or
was dropped by his retained
counsel and was assigned a
Federal Defender.
Judge Caproni
ordered that pre-trial motions
are due by January 7 and time
is excluded until then. There
is no trial date yet.
