SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 14 – The Foundation for
a Smoke-Free World fired
Lourdes Liz. She says it was
retaliation.
On April 14, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Liz says
she was fired because she
objected to the Foundation's
"land-in-glove coordination
with companies seeking to
promote vaping among
teenagers."
She also says the
Foundation tried to increase
the profits of Altria and
Philip
Morris.
The defendant has
been given until May 5 to move
to dismiss.
The case is Liz
v. Foundation for a Smoke-Free
World, Inc., 21-cv-281 (Ramos)
