SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 27 – The Celestial Church
of Christ USA Diocese sued its
former Grand Patron Anthony
Iremiren and Patrick Emeka
Mosley, a member of the
Celestial Church, Metro
Parish, in Washington
DC.
The
Church's claim is for what it
calls repeated acts of
defamation, slander and
slander per se by defendants
in several online broadcasts.
The defendants said that an
upcoming convention of the
Church was "a scam, prank and
gimmick" intended "to defraud
unsuspecting members of the
Church." It cites

On June 8, 2022
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press called in to cover it,
seeing in the docket "initial
pre-trial conference," albeit
on a different date.
A
settlement conference was set
up - for June 8.
Hearing that,
Inner City Press apologized
and disengaged from the
proceeding. But we continued
to follow it.
On June 27, Judge
Cronan signed off on the
settlement: the case is
dropped in exchange for a
letter of apology.
The case is
Celestial Church of Christ USA
Diocese et al v. Mosley et
al., 22-cv-860 (Cronan /
Netburn)
