SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 8 – The
Celestial Church of Christ USA
Diocese sued its former Grand
Patron Anthony Iremiren and
Patrick Emeka Mosley, a member
of the Celestial Church, Metro
Parish, in Washington
DC.
The
Church's claim is for what it
calls repeated acts of
defamation, slander and
slander per se by defendants
in several online broadcasts.
The defendants said that an
upcoming convention of the
Church was "a scam, prank and
gimmick" intended "to defraud
unsuspecting members of the
Church." It cites

On June 8, 2022
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press called in to cover it,
seeing in the docket "initial
pre-trial conference," albeit
on a different date.
At that,
Judge Netburn had ordered that
discovery is sue by August 19.
But also a settlement
conference had been set up -
for June 8.
Hearing that,
Inner City Press apologized
and disengaged from the
proceeding. We will continue
to follow it, as possible.
The case is
Celestial Church of Christ USA
Diocese et al v. Mosley et
al., 22-cv-860 (Cronan /
Netburn)
