June 7 – Bluebird Reinsurance
Company Ltd. v. ParkWest
Advisors Group, LLC Bluebird
Reinsurance Company sued
ParkWest Advisors Group, LLC
over a $500,000,000 loan. Now
the latter has stopped paying
its lawyer.
On June 7,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
ParkWest's
lawyer said he is owned
$100,000. Bluebird in its
complaint demanded $400,000 in
breach of contract damages,
and two other payments of
$500,000.
Judge
Cronan agreed to let him out
of the case; he agreed to ask
his (former) client if it will
consent to a default, or at
least give its address for
service of a motion for
default.
