SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 21 – Lorraine Lyons
has sued New York Life
Insurance Company for age and
sex
discrimination.
On November
20, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge Engelmayer
inquired which of the theories
of discrimination the
plaintiff is most
energetically advancing.
He suggested
zeroing in more, noting that
the plaintiff's lawyer had
covered his bases and/or
hedged his bets.
New York
Life's lawyer said they are
intending a motion for summary
judgment.
Judge Engelmayer
noted that he-said, she-said
issues can make that
difficult.
The case is Lyons
v. New York Life Insurance
Company, 20-cv-3120
(Engelmayer)
