SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 5 – Yamil Irizarry is in
detention. His Federal
Defender has applied for him
to be released on
conditions.
On March 8, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jesse M. Furman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press,
as soon as a rare jury trial
taking place in the SDNY was
over for the day, covered
it.
Judge
Furman was sympathetic to the
request, but noted an
outstanding order of
protection.
He encouraged the
Federal Defender ot take steps
to address it, and that the
request would then be
considered.
The case is US v.
Irizarry, 15-cr-329 (Furman)
