SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 4 – Lori Gjenashaj
was shot by police on March
25, 2018 on Highland Avenue on
Staten Island. She admits
having committed a crime but
said she was in her car, not
posing a threat.
She cites the
Bumpers case in The
Bronx.
On
May 4, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge William H. Pauley
III held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
The City
defendants said they was to
exclude such things as the
patrol guide. Judge Pauley
scoffed, noting that these
come in and using the
Minneapolis trial following
the death of George Floyd as
an example.
The case is
moving toward a trial. It is
Gjenashaj et al v. City of New
York et al., 19-cv-4142
(Pauley)
