May 10 – Rashawn Whidbee was
charged with a robbery and a
death.
On May 10, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos held a
sentencing proceeding. Inner
City Press covered
it.
Judge Ramos noted
that he could sentence Whidbee
to thirty years, but found him
not the most culpable. Whidbee
spoke about finding God.
Judge Ramos
sentence him to ten years.
