SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 22 – Discovery
Communications, Inc. has been
sued for having video
streaming services and
platforms allegedly
inaccessible to the visually
impaired.
On July 22, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Mary Kay Vyskocil held
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Counsel for
Discovery dismissively said
that the initial complaint
didn't allege harm, and that
even as amended it was flawed.
But a case
management plan was entered,
with depositions due by
November 19 and another
conference February 3, 2022.
The case is
Sanchez v. Discovery
Communications, LLC, 21-cv-935
(Vyskocil)
