SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 8 – Nickie Kane
from Guyana worked at Advanced
Care Staffing on Gates Avenue
in Brooklyn and was sexually
harassed. She says operations
manager Jubert Ong openly
discussed her breasts during a
lunch
break.
On June 8, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge John P. Cronan
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered
it.
As an
initial matter, Judge Cronan
inquired into venue.
If Ms. Kane
worked only at the Brooklyn
site, shouldn't the case be
transferred to EDNY in
Brooklyn?
There was not a
Yes answer from the plaintiff
so Judge Cronan invited letter
briefing on the issue.
The case is
Kane v. Advanced Care
Staffing, LLC et al., 21-cv-60
(Cronan)
