SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 19 – Nakia Taylor sued
New York City for NYPD officer
Vincent Circosta handcuffing
and punching her on 118th
Street and St. Nicholas Avenue
in Harlem at 1:30 am on July
6,
2017.
On
September 17 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Alvin K. Hellerstein held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Hellerstein, the parties
said, had previously proposed
a settlement amount that they
had not agreed to.
Judge Hellerstein
said he will refer it to
Magistrate Judge Robert W.
Lehrburger for another shot at
settlement.
The case is
Taylor v. The City of New York
et al., 18-cv-8421
(Hellerstein)
