SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 29 – Shondell Crocker, on
supervised release after a
drug conviction, was working
as a home health attendant.
Then amid COVID
his client said no more
in-person visits. Now Crocker
is detained on an alleged
violation of supervised
release.
On
June 29, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Sidney H. Stein
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge Stein
asked if this was an appeal
from the detention decision of
Magistrate Judge Kevin N. Fox.
Crocker's
lawyer said he had gotten more
information. He had put in a
letter, with an exhibit of
dozens of pages. (In the
docket, the last six documents
in a row are
sealed).
Judge Stein said
the purpose of the exhibit,
and excerpts, weren't clear to
him.
He set another
proceeding for after July 4.
Crocker remains detained.
The case is US v.
Crocker, 13-cr-414 (Stein)
