SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 27 – William
Soto-Montanez is charged with
drugs and
guns.
On July 27, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Mary Kay Vyskocil held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
proceeding was supposed to be
by video, but the defendant
could only appear by phone.
He was asked if
that was OK and said, he hoped
to be treated fairly, he was a
family man who had made a
mistake like anyone could.
He was told that,
it being a conference, there
might not be a right per
se to be present.
In any
event a schedule was arrived
at, with the next status
conference on November 17.
The case is US v.
Soto-Montanez, 21-cr-95
(Vyskocil)
