SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 10 – Kevin R. Scott is
nearly the end of his
supervised
release.
On May 13, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge William H.
Pauley III held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered it.
Scott did not
show up or call in.
Even the
defense lawyer expressed
concern. There was talk of
Scott going off his meds;
issues of competency and the
need for an evaluation were
discussed.
Judge Pauley said
he saw no alternative to
issuing an arrest warrant, as
Scott was a danger at least to
himself.
The warrant was
to be e-mailed to chambers.
Now on June 10,
the US Attorney's Office has
written to Judge Pauley that
the U.S. Marshals have located
Scott in a residential
substance abuse treatment
program, and that since the
Court wants him to remain
there, the arrest warrant
should be withdrawn.
The case is US v.
Scott, 13-cr-962 (Pauley)
