SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 16 – ALUF Plastics has
sued the Town of Orangeburg to
enjoin actions it says are
designed to shut it
down.
On August
16, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Sidney H. Stein
held a pre-trial conference.
Inner City Press covered
it.
At issue are
Orangeburg's zoning code
allowing fines up to $20,000
for odors that ALUF says are
not a public nuisance or
health threat. The next
proceeding is September 20 at
9:30 am.
The case is API
Industries, Inc. v. Town of
Orangetown et al., 20-cv-4533
(Stein)
