SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 14 –
For a 15 year old girl with
learning disabilities, a
lawsuit for due process has
been filed against the NYC
Board of Education - and for
$400 an hour in attorneys
fees.
On March 14, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge J.
Paul Oetken held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered it.
The
parties had filed a mostly
blank proposed case management
plan, adding in that motions
to amend should be filed
within 14 days of any order
appointing an impartial
hearing officer.
Judge
Oetken asked if he should wait
before entering the case
management plan and was told,
Yes.
The case is C. et
al v. New York City Department
of Education, 21-cv-11219
(Oetken)
