SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 29 – A pili-nut based
yogurt product was invested in
2012 by Peter Staluppi and
George Lighthiser. They named
it Nutzy Yogurt, than Lavva.
Then the idea was shopped and
stolen.
On October 29 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge Jed
S. Rakoff held an oral
argument. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Rakoff, who
until the 4 pm start time held
the fourth day of a criminal
jury trial Inner City Press is
also covering, then said he
had a 4:30 pm conference call
not listed in PACER, told the
lawyers they had 15 minutes
each.
Afterward
he said he might do this more
often, it had focused things.
He promised a
bottom line ruling in a week.
The case is
Staluppi et al v. EVR Foods,
Inc. et al., 20-cv-6132
(Rakoff)
