SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 26 – Jose Martinez and
Mario De la Rosa is charged
with conspiring to rob
commercial establishments in
New York: Hobbs Act
robbery.
On
October 22 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge John P. Cronan
held an arraignment of
Martinez. Inner City Press
covered it.
One of the
targeted commercial
establishments was on East
Broadway, not far from the
SDNY courthouse. Left behind
was a cap with a Brooklyn Nets
logo on the front. Martinez is
out on bail.
Judge
Cronan set the next conference
for the week of December 14,
as his courtroom deputy said
solid dates could not be
selected for CourtCall
proceedings.
On August
26, Judge Cronan held a
similar proceeding for co
defendant Mario De la Rosa -
one difference was the new
changes to FRCP 5(f),
admonitions to AUSAs about
Brady obligations. De la
Rosa's lawyer said she has put
in for costs to translate the
indictment.

v. Martinez et al., 20-cr-537
