SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 2 – Matthew Charles
Belanger sued NYU and NYU
Shanghai, alleged
discrimination against him by
the latter based on having
Congenital Talipes
Equinovarus, "commonly known
as Clubfoot," as his complaint
puts
it.
On February 2, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge James L. Cott
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
NYU's
lawyer said that since NYU
Shanghai has not been properly
served, she was not
representing them in the day's
proceeding.
Judge Cott gave
the plaintiff until April 1 to
complete service on Shanghai
NYU or see that claim
dismissed.
The case is
Belanger v. New York
University et al., 21-cv-1644
(Woods / Cott)
