SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 28 – Cicero Williams has
been during the COVID-19
pandemic in the GEO private
prison in Queens, from which
rapper Tekashi 69 and others
were released. Cicero
Williams, however, remained
in.
On July 28
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge George B. Daniels held a
sentencing for Williams, on a
Violation of Supervised
Release. Inner City Press
covered it.
Defense
lawyer Bobbi Sternheim, who
previously tried to get
Williams released on bond,
said that Williams has learned
his lesson and hopes to move
out of New York.
Judge Daniels
listened to Williams
apologize, then sentenced him
to a year and a day, with
Supervised Release still into
2024.
The case is US v.
Williams, 16-cr-656 (Daniels)
