SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 27 –
Jabron Green was charged in
July 2019 with conspiracy to
distribute 280 grams of more
of crack cocaine. On January
27, 2020 he pled guilty to 28
grams, with a mandatory
minimum sentence of five
years.
U.S.
District Court for the Souther
District of New York
Magistrate Judge James L. Cott
took Green's plea in the
course of 20 minutes, then
asked if Chief Judge Colleen
McMahon has set a sentencing
date. She has not, so a
control date of June 26 was
set.
Not
mentioned was Green's
co-defendant Charles Kenyatta,
whose guilty plea to
"extortionate extension of
credit" on January 17 Inner
City Press also covered.
Kenyatta, pled guilty only to
loan sharking and not to
crack, has no mandatory
minimum sentence, and get a
stipulated guideline of 37 to
46 months. The overall case is
US v. Hudson, et al.,
19-cr-496 (McMahon / Cott).
