SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 18 – A complaint for
fraudulent debt collection was
filed against the National
Collegiate Student Loan Trust
2007-2, and Forster &
Garbus LLP. Then there started
to be sealed filings.
On June 18
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Barbara C.
Moses held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
An issue
was arose was the
applicability of privilege. It
seems dubious when a law firm
is operating as a debt
collector.
But third down in
the docket is a Motion to Seal
Certain Documents In
Connection With a Reply in
Support of a Motion to Quash.
The case is
Michelo et al v. National
Collegiate Student Loan Trust
2007-2 et al.,18-cv-1781
(Gardephe / Moses).
