SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 19 – Melissa Newton sued
Jeff Bezos for the failure of
the Whole Foods at 260
Greenwich Street in Tribeca
not accommodating her bipolar
condition.
On December 18
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Abrams asked Newton about
mediation or an SDNY
Magistrate Judge.
Newton, since the
proceeding was by phone,
asked, "Is this the judge
speaking? Because you all
sound the same."
Judge Abrams
confirmed who she was, and
that the assigned Magistrate
is Judge Cott. The case is
being referred to him,
including for pre-trial
matters.
The case is
Newton v. Bezos, 20-cv-3993
(Abrams)
