SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 25 – Rasiel Fusugio sued
Coppola's East on 378 Third
Avenue for systematically not
paying
overtime.
On June 24, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
At issue
was whether Coppola's would
default. The defendants did
not appear. Judge Cronan
turned to the matter of
attorney's fees.
For one, he found
$400 an hour reasonable, while
nothing that another lawyer
had not shown FLSA experience
(so $300 an hour) and
paralegal at $100 an hour.
The case is
Fusugio et al v. Coppola's
Tuscan Grill, LLC et al.,
21-cv-68 (Cronan)
