SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 28 – Efrain Tarax Tarax
sued vegan restaurant Blossom
on Columbus for not paying
minimum wage or
overtime.
On April 28, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Alison J. Nathan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Once counsel got
on the line, Judge Nathan
explained them to them
difficulties of juries trials
amid the COVID pandemic,
mentioning a possible October
trial.
She also
referred the case to the
assigned Magistrate Judge,
Katharine H. Parker, who has
already set a settlement
conference for July 13.
The case is Tarax
Tarax et al v. Blossom West
Inc. et al., 19-cv-6228
(Nathan / Parker)
