SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 28 – Sergio Perez
Ponce is charged with illegal
re-entry of the United States
after committing a
felony.
On
September 28 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Vernon S. Broderick held a
change of plea proceeding.
Inner City Press covered it.
The
Federal Defender has to cut in
at one point to remind his
client of his previous felony.
The AUSA asked
Judge Broderick to inquire if
the defendant was and is a
citizen of Mexico: yes.
Another answer was, "The
Bronx."
Sentencing
is set for January 5. The case
is US v. Perez Ponce,
20-cr-678 (Broderick)
