SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 16 – The most senior
radiologist at Metropolitan
Hospital in East Harlem has a
long pending lawsuit charging
that Physician Affiliate Group
of New York P.C.'s Hussain
Marati "openly expressed his
disdain and hatred of
Jews."
On December
16 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Valerie E. Caproni held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Caproni described how the jury
trial, scheduled for January
26, would work: the plexiglass
boxes and air filters, the
precautions Inner City Press
has described this month for
example on a habeus corpus
proceeding before SDNY Judge
Gregory Woods, here.
But one of
the lawyers, saying he spoke
for them all, said it was
crazy to do a jury trial now.
He said he
couldn't travel to Florida,
that he has only taken one
Uber since the pandemic hit.
If a juror
got COVID it would cause a
restart and cost more money.
The case was filed in
2017.
Judge
Caproni agreed to postpone the
trial without choosing a new
date. She said they will get
at least one month's notice.
The case is Kerr
v. Physician Affiliate Group
of New York P.C. et al.,
17-cv-1777 (Caproni)
