SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 12 – Franklin Mejia
Martinez is charged in a drug
conspiracy.
On October 12 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Vernon S. Broderick held a
change of plea proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
The AUSA
said they had intercepted
phone calls from the defendant
to a co-conspirator, who then
traveled from Queens through
The Bronx in the SDNY to New
Jersey to deliver the drugs.
The defense
conceded venue. The plea
agreement is for 135 to 168
months, and the sentencing is
now set for January 26, at 10
am.
The case is US v.
