SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 16 – Jamer Davis is
nearing sentencing after
pleading guilty in a narcotics
conspiracy. But it will be
delayed in light of a state
sentence in New Jersey.
On July 14,
2022 U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Andrew L. Carter
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Carter questioned the lawyer
about when he could make a
Federal sentence with a state
one, under 18 USC 3585.
He asked
them to confirm and submitted
a joint letter by July 21,
saying that while they might
disagree on what he should do,
they should agree on what he
CAN do - that is, what the law
is. We'll see.
The case is US v.
Davis, 18-cr-420
(Carter)
