SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 15 – Richard Rubin,
formerly a lawyer, and Thomas
Craft are charged with
conspiracy to commit
securities
fraud.
On
December 15 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul A. Engelmayer held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
AUSA Martin Bell
said that among the
information found on Rubin's
computer was privileged,
attorney client material. He
said his Office might not even
review it, only return
it.
Not so fast,
Judge Engelmayer indicated.
Defendant Craft has rights
too, including under Brady. He
urged the US Attorney's Office
to look closely into this. The
next conference is February 4.
The case is US v.
Rubin, 20-cr-632 (Engelmayer)
