SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 29 – James Cutler took a
photograph of gentrifying
Brooklyn, then sued the
Corcoran Group and Toni Martin
Associates for using it.
On March
29, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge P. Kevin Castel
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Castel denied the
photographer's lawyer's motion
for default judgment, saying
he had not complied with the
procedures.
He told a
defendant who showed up
without a lawyer to get one,
and fast.
The case is
Cutler v. The Corcoran Group,
Inc. et al., 21-cv-705
(Castel)
