SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 19 – Ana Chalas, a
legally blind person, sued
Family Foods, Inc. under the
ADA for having an inaccessible
website.
On
September 7, 2022, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
The
complaint says the website
sells Arnold's meats and
recipes. Judge Cave listened
then scheduled a settlement
conference for October 25 at 2
pm, by phone. It will not be
public.
The case is
Chalas v. Family Foods, Inc.,
22-cv-3892 (Furman / Cave)
